Diverticulosis

About- Diverticulosis also called diverticular disease is a condition when the small, bulging pouches are formed in the lining of the digestive system. When more than one pouch becomes inflamed or infected, the condition is called diverticulitis.
 
Symptoms-
 Abdominal Pain and cramping
 Abdominal tenderness
 Bloating
 Constipation
 Diarrhea
 Fever
 Mucus in the stool (occasionally)
 Nausea and vomiting
 
Causes-

Diverticulosis usually develops when weak places in the digestive track give way under pressure. Several risk factors are
 Aging
 Chronic constipation
 Insufficient fibre intake
 Obesity
 Prolonged use of painkillers
 Smoking
