Ulcerative Colitis

About- Ulcerative colitis (UC) also called colitis ulcer is an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that causes long-lasting inflammation and ulcers (sores) in the digestive tract which affects the innermost lining of the large intestine (colon) and rectum.
 
Symptoms-

 Abdominal pain and cramping
​​ Diarrhoea, often with blood or pus
 Rectal pain and bleeding
 Urgency to defecate
 Unexplained Weight loss
 Fatigue
 Fever
 Malnutrition
 Development delay in Children
 Joint pain and swelling
 Nausea and decreased appetite
 Skin problems
 Mouth ulcers
 Eye inflammation  

Causes-
The exact cause of ulcerative colitis remains unknown. Immune system malfunction, heredity and environment may play a role.
